It has been awhile since my last post. Sometimes I think I should become more disciplined with my blog. But most of the time, I think I should just relax and flow:

The weather is warm here in South Florida. All the windows are open. I am thankful for the breeze. I have been teaching a lot of yoga, both private and group classes, and more than ever, I have been giving Reiki treatments.. sometimes a few times a day.

The yoga and chakra therapy series I am teaching is really amazing..   Every week we focus on a different chakra, and every week we are processing, healing, and growing. Through Asana (poses), Pranayama (breath work), mantra (chants), and guided visualization, we are on a chakra journey. We are all learning so much.Sometimes there are tears, sometimes there is laughter. During the week we worked with the Sacral chakra, one person in the group discovered a new and unexpected pregnancy, and one  in our group began menstruating again after menopause.  Energy work… ;)

This week we have been studying, healing, and strengthening  the heart chakra, the Anahata Chakra. For me, it has brought up events, issues, and memories that I haven’t consciously thought about in years. I know I am working through some deep wounds and healing my heart.

Healing through love in South Beach...

Healing through love in South Beach…

And as for healing my heart, my Portuguese sweetheart has been here visiting for nearly a month now (I lived in the Azores for 6 months). Our time together has been beautiful. Dancing, swimming, painting my house, exploring, theatre, yoga, friends, family, and good food. We speak Portuglish. Our own combination of Portuguese and English. We understand each other…. but when we don’t, we  laugh, play a bit of charades, and slowly figure it out….. ahahahaha, the language of love.

Love in all forms is the most powerful healer.

To our Chakras and our healing~Yogini Tiff

I have a group of yoga students who have been studying and practicing with me for a few years now. We are all friends, and before class starts, we all laugh and ‘bitch’ a little, we help each other process stuff, we keep it real. Then class starts, we quiet our worries and thoughts, and focus on the breath. Then we begin to flow, linking the body and the breath in movement.

Anyways, after several years practicing together, everyone is able to do their asanas, listen to their bodies, honor their bodies, and comfortably meditiate.  Everyone is becoming more sensitive. Last week, I felt intense amounts of energy, while teaching.  I opened my eyes during our final seated meditation, looked at my students (friends) and I saw that everyone was really in a deep meditation. Blissed out, connected, and healing. After class ended, nobody moved. For about 20 minutes after class, no one spoke, no one moved. I  decided then and there that it was time, to week by week, teach in depth, about the chakras. So starting today, with this particular class, I am going to add a new element to our practice -Yoga and Chakra Therapy..

My Lake Worth Yoga crew....I Love you!! (I am the one standing under the orb)

My Lake Worth Yoga crew….I Love you!! (I am the one standing under the orb)

Focusing on the Chakras while practicing yoga helps activate, cleanse, and heal the Chakras and it helps encourage the energy to flow , upwards and towards the crown of the head. This is often referred to as awakening the Kundalini. Kundalini is often described as a coiled energy that lies dormant at the root chakra, and as people ‘awaken’ the energy activates and starts to move.. I have experienced major surges of energy and felt the power. It is intense. When you are able to truly feel the energy, there is no turning back, it is undeniable, it is life changing.  It  opens the door to a new path. A path of healing, connection, wisdom, and magic.

Chakra is a Sanskrit word that means spinning wheel or vortex.  There are seven major chakras in the human body and over 72,000 nadis, smaller energy centers. The study of chakras and the human energy system is over 5,000 year old and various religions, ethnicities, and cultures in the past and present share the core belief of chakras.

Chakras are usually invisible to the human eye but practicing yoga and other healing arts and sciences helps bring the bring the practitioner into awareness of the subtle (or not so subtle) energies of the chakras, the nadis and the entire energetic system.

The seven major chakras in the human body run parallel from the base of the spine to the crown of the head. Chakras are centers of prana (life force energy).

The chakras basically act as pumps or valves and they regulate the flow of energy.  Each chakra resonates with a certain color, sound, or frequency.  Tuning into the chakras helps bring us closer our true nature. Each chakra gives off one of the seven colors of the rainbow.  When all the chakras are open and balanced the person is vibrant, healthy, and all of the colors of the rainbow surround the persons body, which is known as  the person’s aura.

There are specific issues, emotions, and energies  that correspond with each chakra :

The Root Chakra, the Muladhara represents survival, relationship security, and inner safety. The element is earth.

A little farther up and orange in color is the Sacral or Svadhisthana Chakra.  This Chakra represents water and the emotional connections are blame and guilt, money and sex, power and control and relationships.

The next chakra, the solar plexus, or Manipura represents the element of fire. The color is yellow and it said to be the core of our will power.   The emotional connections are will power, self-esteem , sensitivity to criticism and care for oneself and for others.

The fourth Chakra, the heart Chakra, also known as Anahata is a vibrant green Chakra located at the heart center.  The element is air and the emotions associated with this Chakra are, love and compassion, forgiveness and acceptance, but also hatred, loneliness, grief and anger. These emotions are all connected to the functioning of the heart Chakra.

The fifth Chakra is the Vissuddha, the throat Chakra.  The element is ether or space and the emotions are personal expression, judgment, criticism, addiction. The key function of this Chakra is communication.

The sixth Chakra is commonly known as the third eye Chakra. The color is purple, or indigo and it is located near the center of the forehead.  The Chakra is associated with truth and intuition.  It is said that psychic abilities center around the third eye.  The element is light.

The seventh Chakra the crown Chakra is located at the top of the head and is commonly thought to be white, violet, or gold in color.  The element for this Chakra is ‘not of this world’ and awakening this Chakra is believed to lead one towards enlightenment.

If one finds they have unbalanced energy they can set their intention for their yoga practice to be on healing and balancing the chakras.

Practicing breathing exercises encourages the energy to balance. Finding time for self-care can have enormous healing effects on an unbalanced Chakra system.  Sometimes people have excessive Chakra energy  usually one or two Chakras.  This can be seen in people with addiction to sex, drugs, alcohol, relationships, food, etc. or it can be seen on someone with a large ego or a “I am better than you” type of personality.

Sometimes a person is so ‘closed off’ that they are deficient in Chakra energy. This sometimes happens after a traumatic events, broken hearts, or health issues.   Use of color therapy along with chanting, yoga and meditation will help balance the Chakras.

I have found that Gemstones that correspond to specific Chakras are very useful as well.

The goal is a strong clear and balanced energy system.  Consciously and unconsciously yoga works to purify, re-balance and awaken the Chakras, individually and also as a whole. Through the practice of yoga we can awaken and cleanse the Chakras and heal our spirits. Once the Chakras are functioning in a healthy manner we are able to safely raise the Kundalini energy up the spine to the crown of the head.  What a ‘trip.;)

I know this post is a very basic introduction, but I hope you found it helpful..if you have any questions, or wish to add something.. please contact me..

Growing and Healing...

Growing and Healing…retreat with my teacher

To our healing, and with love.  ~T

Let me start by saying, I screw up all the time, I get moody, insecure, depressed, just like everyone else. I get annoyed with people, I judge people,  i judge myself, just like everyone else. Of course I try to be a good person, but sometimes I am not as good as I should be, again, just like everyone else.. Blame it on food, the moon, the planets, hormones, other people, or negative energy. But whatever the cause, it doesn’t feel good to be angry or sad. It certainly doesn’t feel good to suffer.

Despite my flaws, or perhaps because of them, I have developed a very close relationship with a Tibetan Buddhist Lama. Geshe Tenzin Tamding. I have written about him before.  He is my friend, and my spiritual guide. (His main temple is in Spain, but he has over 25 Temples throughout the world.)

My son and I with my teacher and friend,Geshe

My son and I with my teacher and friend,Geshela

Anyways, through destiny, we met about a year and a half ago. My time with him, was life changing. He is the most loving person I have ever met. He radiates with kindness, wisdom, and love. He honestly glows with bright light.

Radiating love

Radiating love

When I have questions, I ask him.Even across the world, he always knows when I am hitting a low point, because it is during those times when he sends me a message out of the blue, either in an email- like when i got back from the Azores“I am always sending you and Marlin love”, or sometimes when I meditate, I see him or feel  him. When I am scared, I recite mantras he taught me.  I guess in a way, we have the typical “Master-student” relationship. He  has a special relationship with my son too. In fact, my son made him a painting about a year ago, and it is now hanging up in one of Geshe-la’s temples in Spain.

Lecture in Delray Beach, The process of dying, bardo, and rebirth

Lecture in Delray Beach, The process of dying, bardo, and rebirth

Well, luckily, Geshe-la is back in South Florida for a few days ( he must have known I needed some guidance-ha!). He gave a lecture in Delray Beach about the process of death,  bardo, and rebirth. I was nervous about the topic, but it was surprisingly comforting. And something I needed to learn about. Something we all need to learn about and come to terms with.

After the lecture, my son and I had the extra honor of joining a small group of his students, for retreat. We stayed in a beautiful house that belongs to a dear friend of mine, in Wellington Florida. The house is surrounded by woods, and near a beautiful pond. Our time was spent with meditations, chanting, studying, good food, slow walks, a short fast, and deep laughter. We slept on the floor.  No internet, no cell phones, no tv, no music. No make up, no jewelry, no perfume. It was calm, quiet, and very peaceful.IMG_2293 (2) IMG_2292 (2) IMG_2288 (2)

The experience was amazing. And it was also overwhelming (a lot to process). I had never done anything like it before. I am still kind of floating in a daze. That could be from our fast. We just finished this morning.  I was so hungry last night. ;)

Yesterday, during retreat, Geshe-la and I went for a walk. Just the two of us. We walked slowly. We talked.  I told him about my problems, my questions, and my fears. I told him about my Portuguese sweetheart.  And I told him how much wine I drank in the Azores. He laughed. He loves me unconditionally. He LOVES unconditionally.

The pond that will forever stay in my heart

The pond that will forever stay in my heart

We stood quietly together at a small pond. He gently put his hand on my shoulder and said “You have a very big heart, and you help many people.” and suddenly, I knew (regardless of struggles) that I am on the path that I am meant to travel.  It was such a beautiful moment.

In these few days I have learned and grown so much. I know I still have so much to learn. But the seeds have been planted.

 geshe

I feel honored to have such a wise teacher and friend to help guide me. Thank you so much Geshe-la. And thank you so much to my dear friend Jian.

Now I am going to go eat a huge  meal! HA!

Have a beautiful day. Namaste~Tiff

“As human beings we all want to be happy and free from misery… we have learned that the key to happiness is inner peace. The greatest obstacles to inner peace are disturbing emotions such as anger, attachment, fear and suspicion, while love and compassion and a sense of universal responsibility are the sources of peace and happiness.”~Dalai Lama

I love sweets. Love them. Give me a healthy sweet treat, and I am happy.  So while in Tampa, visiting my friend Lisa, I made some Raw Fig Bars. They turned out so good.. I decided I should share the idea.  Healthy food tastes so good!

Lisa and Me and her beautiful Food processor! Digging the Figs..

In order to make these bars, you will need a food processor. Food processors are awesome. I love to experiment and create good food. I am like a mad scientist. Muahahaha… I have made some not-so-delicious experiments too, like Glop–even the dog wouldn’t eat that! Ha!

Usually, I combine the right ingredients and come up with a hit, like these awesome fig bars.

Figs+Friends=Fun

Raw Fig Bars

Ingredients:

 20 dried Figs

1/2 cup Raisins

1/4 cup Raw Cashews

3/4 cup Raw Walnuts

1/2 cup Shredded (unsweetened) coconut

2 tablespoons of Chia Seeds

1 tablespoon Honey (or to taste)

3 Tablespoons water (add more if needed-Water can help prevent the mixture from being too thick)

Puree all ingredients in the Food processor (adjust the recipe to taste), spread mixture  on a cookie sheet, and allow to chill for three hours.

Raw Fig Bar Mixture

Spread the Mixture and Chill

Full of protein, fiber, vitamins, omega 3′s,  and minerals… MMMMM…feel good about food!

Fig bars are soo good they’ll make you wanna dance!

We made it to the farm. Siembra Farm in Gainesville Florida. We are camping, working, and visiting our friends who own and run an organic farm. I am in awe. FRESH FOOD! There are trees everywhere. Friends everywhere. Blueberries everywhere. Vegetables everywhere. There are ticks everywhere too. Yesterday while exploring in some thick woods, the ticks really got me. I pulled out about ten.Yuck!! Ticks  love climbing up my pants and burrowing in my inner thighs.. Welcome to summer in Florida… Bugs galore!

BEAUTIFUL GARDEN

Siembra means to sow, to plant, to grow. And I am amazed. This organic family run farm produces so much food.  On our first day here, we helped gather and wash the CSA shares.

Fun with Leafy Greens

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture.

Gathering bunches of Kale

With a CSA, people pay a very reasonable amount for a weekly boxes of veggies. Whatever grows, is what goes in the box.  Fresh, delicious, organic produce. I honestly have never seen a better CSA.

Me working in the Herb Garden… (The sweet baby lives on the farm)… what a good life. :)

This week people got tons of greens, different types of kale, collards, arugula, eggplant, tomatoes, potatoes, green beans, peppers, basil, herbs, and more. If you live near Gainesville, you should support Siembra farms. Wherever you live, you should find out about CSA’s- Food Revolution!

Cody at the Gainesville Farmers Market…

The Siembra farm folks are the nicest people I know. They help make the world a better place.  ( they have good dance moves too! )

Everyone loves the Farm!

This whole experience is a pretty incredible home school/life  lesson. We are learning to farm and camping out in a magical paradise.

Home Sweet Home

The kids are having a great time. They run around all day…exploring the farm, the woods, and the creek.

Farm kids…. Happy and covered in dirt

The dogs are having a great time.

Country Dogs

We are all having a great time…working, eating, and exploring.

HAVE YOU HUGGED A FARMER TODAY??

Covered in dirt, I feel blessed. ~T

One of the ways to avoid the high cost of healthy food, is to buy food in bulk and prepare food from scratch. My kitchen is packed with big jars full of rice, quinoa, dry beans, lentils, nuts, coconut flakes, dried fruit, rolled oats, oatgroats and more. Not only is it cheaper to buy in bulk, but also when we eat food closest to its natural form, it is obviously better for you. I try to stay away from food in cans. Not only is canned food expensive, but it produces more waste, and if you think about it,canned food is pretty gross.

In honor of healing with a healthier diet, today this post is about oat groats!! Oat groats are the whole  grain produced by the Avena Satvia plant. Most people are familiar with rolled oats. Rolled oats are made by steaming the oat groats and rolling them. The more processed oats are, the less nutritious. Instant oats? Boo. Forget about it!   Oat groats are far more nutritious, and the texture and taste is superior too.

Ode to Oat Groats

My son will eat almost anything (as long as it is vegetarian), but he doesn’t like eating oatmeal. He says I traumatized him when he was little by feeding him oatmeal for breakfast every single day. Well, it is true we ate a lot of oatmeal. Ha!  So he doesn’t like oatmeal, but he loves eating oat groats for breakfast!  We ate oat groats for breakfast this morning:

Delicious and packed with nutrition!

We cooked the oat groats. Then added unsweetened coconut flakes, almond butter, dried cranberries, hemp seeds, flax seeds, and then drizzled with raw honey. Mmmmmm. Food for a good mood.

Oat groats take longer to cook than oatmeal (about 45 minutes), but it is worth it. I promise. The energy from a breakfast like this, seems to last all day. And it tastes so good. Oat groats can be prepared raw too. Many raw food restaurants offer “Raw Groatmeal.” Soak the groats overnight and eat for breakfast. Or soak them a little longer, like 24 hrs, and you will taste and feel even more benefits.

Some health benefits of oat groats: Oat groats are high in magnesium, vitamin B1, manganese, selenium, iron, protein, antioxidants, and fiber (to name a few). Oats are known to help lower cholesterol levels, stabilize blood sugar levels, reduce the risk of heart disease, and oats aid in weight loss.

Oats are part of the family of glutenous grains.  So if you have a gluten sensitivity, proceed with caution. There is a great debate about oats and gluten.  I avoid wheat.  But my body really loves oats. So, learn to pay attention to what your body is saying.

Be Good to Your Body!

Eat good food. Be kind to your body. Be kind to the Earth.

Remember our mind, body, spirit connection.

Hooray for Oat Groats!

A good friend of mine, recently gave me a the best gift. A 10 pound bag of Oatstraw. I love oatstraw. I need oatstraw. We all need oatstraw.

Whoa, that's alot of Oatstraw!

Oatstraw is considered an herbal tonic, for it helps bring the nervous system to balance. Especially after adrenal fatigue. Oatstraw helps ease anxiety as well as depression. It is known to help lower cholesterol, and help with skin conditions. Oatstraw contains B vitamins, calcium, magnesium, iron and more.  Oatstraw is also a mild aphrodisiac, so have fun. :)

So, what’s a girl to do with 10 pounds of oatstraw???? Plenty!  Rolling in the green!

I have been making oatstraw tea, infusions, and tinctures.

Making tea, is pretty basic. Add a few teaspoons of loose tea, steep for ten minutes and enjoy. Ahhh. Lovely. Relaxing. Healing.

An herbal infusion, is different from tea, because you use a much larger quantity of the herb, and you allow the herb to steep for 4 to 8 hours. Overnight is an easy way to do it too. An infusion is  super potent. I recommend about an ounce of the dried herb, a good-sized jar (with a lid), add boiling water, cover. Wait. Drink. Restore. Major healing.  Ahhh.

Dandelion Infusion, Oatsraw infusion, and a nettle infusion (I drank it all-tastes like spinich broth) mmmmm. :)

You will notice that tea and infusions, taste and feel quite different.

Over the weekend, I made a very large amount of oatstraw tincture. Tinctures require alcohol, glycerin, or vinegar, to extract the healing properties of the herb. Alcohol is the most potent, and lasts the longest. So, I used a large amount of grain alcohol. And in about 6 weeks, I will have plenty of oatstraw tincture to share. Talk about concentrated medicine, for that is exactly what a tincture is.

If you are new to herbal medicine, I suggest doing a little bit of research, and start taking a ‘herbal tonic’ that suits your specific needs. Like oatstraw or nettles (there are many herbs to choose from). Start with tea. Move to infusions. When you are ready to try tinctures (they don’t taste delicious), I recommend first buying a few. Experiment.    Nearly every health food store sells tinctures.  Give yourself at least a month, and I am sure you will  feel healthier, stronger, balanced.

Cheers! To the Kitchen Witch in all of us!

Some girls love diamonds…. some girls love oatstraw. Ha!

Have a great day! ~T

Love pancakes? I do!  This morning, my son said, “I want pancakes.”   So I made pancakes, healthy pancakes… We call them Grumbly Ol’ Fisherman Pancakes.

Pancakes with Brown Rice and Quinoa... (notice the fish plate?)

Let’s be honest, most of the time, the pancakes people eat are crap.  White flour, fake maple syrup (corn syrup and artifical flavor),  and tons of  margarine…(eww)..Junk food for breakfast. :(   When we eat food like that, often we feel heavy and gross and crash before lunch.

It is time to change and take care of our bodies (and our earth):  Make delicious pancakes with nutrient dense food,   get the awesome taste, plus lasting energy.

Everything you need for nutritious Pancakes!

Prepare pancake mix, I use Red Mill Gluten Free pancake mix…. it is one of the better Gluten Free pancakes mixes…

Add cooked brown rice (the more the better)

Add cooked Quinoa (experiment with the amount)

Sprinkle some flax seeds… (optional)

Cook. Sweeten with a little Agave, honey, or real maple syrup….. Eat. Yum. Amazing Pancakes!

I got the brilliant idea from my Dad. My Dad, lives in Washington state, He is a fisherman, gardener, farmer, hiker, bicyclist, and mushroom hunter (not psychedelic ones, although that might be fun! HA).  He has a lot of wisdom.  He is an all around cool guy.  Looking back, I am able to see how his influence, shaped my life in really positive ways.  I practically grew up camping.  And not car camping, real backpacking trips…. all over the Northwest. My Dad showed us the magic of  nature, and he showed us the magic of pancakes.  He loves making pancakes  with brown rice.

Great picture of My Dad my uncle Steve... my Dad is the one smiling... probably because he ate some pancakes... :)

Every time we visit my Dad, in the mornings he wakes up and with an excited twinkle in his eye, he say’s “Want some pancakes?”

Well, actually, the last time we visited, he was big on waffles (the batter is still the same),  they were loaded with brown rice.

He likes to eat his healthy pancakes, and then go fishing….

Hi Grandpa! MMMMMMM pancakes!

My Dad  likes to grumble…. but he is a big ol’ softie……I bet ya’ he is fishing right now!

If you haven’t figured it out, we named our pancakes after him!

Pancakes with brown rice and quinoa.. mmmm… I am still full. :)

Let go. Grow and flow.   Learn to listen to your body, listen to your breath.  Honor your body, honor the breath.

Open Your Heart (I'll Make You Love Me)

When I first started practicing yoga, 14 years ago, I was 21.  My yoga teacher indroduced  many new ideas and experiences. Sometimes, I thought she was a new age wingnut (like when she first taught us Lion’s Breath), other times, I saw her wisdom and strength.  She is a powerful healer. When I first came to her class, I was very much operating with my ego. I disregarded her almost constant reminder  ”focus on your breath“.  At that point, I didn’t even breath through my nose, so the idea of taking conscious breaths through my nose, seemed impossible. And really kind of stupid. I knew what I wanted– I wanted to do the splits!  Seriously. I wanted to stretch far!!!!!  I treated yoga  much like a dance class, where ego is often very involved.  I remember once my yoga teacher told me I was flexible..My ego instantly was swollen with pride,  and with a  smile, I pushed myself a little deeper–ooo I felt so good. I thought I was good at yoga.   Turn’s out, I was good at stretching.

Focus on the Breath.... Bring the Mind To Stillness

Yoga begins, when we connect body, mind and spirit. Present with our breath, the breath helps us energize and heal. The ‘mind chatter” ceases, and we are connected and in it! Present with the poses (asanas), we feel the lines and currents of energy.   It is magical. It is sacred.

If you practice yoga, you know exactly what I am talking about.  You are in a pose, connected in every way, and it is bliss.

Partner Yoga: Breath, Body, Energy Connection...me and my friend Brenna

Over the years, As my practice has evolved, I have learned the importance of breath (pranayama) on the physical, mental, and spiritual bodies..

With Asana practice,  I like to practice with my eyes closed. It is soothing and powerful.I have learned to really feel my body. If my body is fatigued from too many chaturungas, I won’t do them. If I need to spend half of class in child’s pose, or savasana, I honor that.  If I am holding an asana, and my body craves a little movement, pulsing, swaying, or grooving, I honor that too.  Sometimes we need to strengthen, sometimes we need to stretch, sometimes we need to restore.

Dancing with The Trees.... Dancer Pose

The moment you are really struggling in a pose, you are no longer practicing yoga.   So, focus on the breath, take time to let the pose evolve.  Slowly and naturally, the body moves deeper.  Deeper into the pose, deeper  into the breath.

There are moments where we are so connected and hyper-sensitive, that the Kundalini begins to rise, and we connect to truth, wisdom, and blissful awareness. Our energetic bodies  shine bright.

There are  other times in our practice where we are overcome with emotion, and crying in class, having an emotional release, and unsure why.  Crying is good. Release and move energy.

Let go and trust the process.  It is Life Changing.

I have been teaching yoga for about 4 years now, several classes a week. I love seeing my students evolve…. We are evolving together.   We are always evolving. Slowly we learn to let go of the ego, we start to heal, grow and flow.

Warrior Three-Three warriors..... Yoga with friends

Don’t be rigid with your practice.  Let go of any expectations….. Let your practice evolve.  Be open, flexible, connected.

Breathe. Listen and feel.  Connect. It will change your practice and your life.

Bring the Mind To Stillness

Namaste

One of my friends, Brakken, is an amazing massage therapist visiting from Memphis.  During a recent breakfast and swimming hang out, I asked about scheduling a massage session with her. She said “Let’s do it right now!”  ”Okay!” I excitedly replied. Brakken started working on my neck and shoulders (areas where I carry a lot of tension) and then after a few minutes with a land massage, Brakken suggested Watsu, water Shiatsu.

Watsu, let go, float and heal…. ahhhh :)

Being in the Healing Arts, I have had experience with many different healing modalities…Trades are the best… but this was my first experience with Watsu.  Watsu=Heaven.  Seriously.  I have never felt anything like it. I have never been so relaxed.  Weightless, floating, gliding, stretching, it was amazing.

Weightless

I was completely blissed out and smiling from ear to ear.  I even laughed out loud at one point because I couldn’t believe it was possible to feel so good. :)

Floating.  I have never felt more relaxed.  Amazing.

Obviously, with Watsu, you should be comfortable in the water. And you need a heated pool, or a warm day. Being weightless and getting massaged is really incredible. But you need to warm water, and you need to have the right therapist.  You need to trust the person completely. It is a very intimate, nurturing experience.  Brakken, my Watsu therapist, is really well-trained, and a natural healer. I felt so safe, so nurtured, so good. I am in awe.

Experience Watsu. You will be totally blissed out. Restorative yoga and deep massage at it’s finest.

Thanks to Brakken– you are a talented magical being.

Thanks to Mel—for the photos, the amazing friendship, and the pool!

Thanks to my kid– for general awesomeness.

Thanks universe. I am grateful.
